Missi Pyle Biography

Missi Pyle born as Andrea Kay "Missi" Pyle on November 16th, 1972 in Houston, Texas, USA is a wonderful American actress.

Missi Plye was born to Linda and Frank Pyle. Missi Pyle has two older sisters named Debbie & Julie and two older brothers named Sam & Paul. She has a half-brother named Gordon & a half-sister named Meredith Pyle.

Missi Plye who was raised in Tennessee is a high school graduate from Germantown High School in Germantown in 1991. While in Germantown High School, Missi Pyle appeared in Poplar Pike Playhouse Theatre productions and school's GHS-TV cable access station. She later graduated from North Carolina School of Arts in 1995.

Missi Pyle made her debut in films with an uncredited role in "The Cottonwood" in 1996 and television debut with "Mad About You" in 1999. Missi Pyle got her breakthrough role in "Galaxy Quest" in 1999. For her role in "Bringing Down the House" {2003}, Missi Pyle and Queen Latifah received an MTV nomination for the Best Fight Award.

Her other notable movies include "Stormbreaker" {2006}, "Feast of Love" {2007}, "Visioneers" {2008}, "Spring Breakdown" {2009} and several others. Missi Pyle has also had guest roles in several television plays such as "The Drew Carey Show" {1999}, "Friends" {1999}, "Ally McBeal" {2001}, "Roswell" {2001}, "Frasier" {2003}, "Two and a Half Men"{2004}, and "Pushing Daisies" {2008}. Her recurring roles in television series include "The Wayne Brady Show" {unknown episodes: 2001}, "Heroes" {2 episodes: 2007}, "The Wedding Bells" {4 episodes: 2007}, "Boston Legal" {3 episodes" 2006-2008} and "The Sarah Silverman Program"{3 episodes: 2007-2008}. Missi Pyle's Broadway plays include "Boeing-Boeing" and others.

Missi Pyle has teamed up with actress Shawnee Smith and formed a country music group called "Smith & Pyle". The two actresses met at a shooting of a made-for-television film "Traveling in Packs" {2007}. They later both attended the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It was their get-together at the music festival that cleared the decks for forming "Smith & Pyle", a country music group ands went on to release their first album "It's OK to Be Happy" in July 2008 through iTunes and amazon.com under their own record label called Urban Prairie Records.

Missi Pyle was married to Casey Anderson on September 12th, 2008. Her husband Casey works for National Geographic as a grizzly bear specialist.
